I’m the woman and doula behind Den Mother Birth. Ten years ago I experienced the coercion and fear-based tactics that is too often the norm in our society. I started my own journey of working hard to support the women in my circle and community through information, and empowerment. After years of being a behind the scenes “birth-nerd”, I knew the calling of birthwork could no longer be ignored.

As a doula I provide you with the all the tools for you to feel empowered and autonomous in your pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey. I am there to hold you through the hard times, talk through your fears and worries, and show you there is room for laughter and joy alongside it all. I am there to weather the storm with you, and be your anchor. I happily support birth in all settings, and families, and honor all choices that you decide for your birth. I serve the Western North Carolina area, and would love to chat to see if we would be a good fit.
